Professor Avi Shlaim talks to Eamon. Professor Shlaim is an author and Oxford historian of modern Middle East history. He is Emeritus Professor of International Relations at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of the British Academy. Of the many books he has written about the Middle East his most recent is Three Worlds: Memoir of an Arab-Jew, published earlier this year.
