Chris Johns is the former Chief Economist of the Bank of Ireland and has previously worked in the UK Treasury and the National Institute of Economic & Social Research in London. He writes a column every Monday in the Irish Times.

Diarmaid Ferriter is Professor of Modern Irish History at UCD and author of numerous books, most recently The Border: The Legacy of a Century of Anglo-Irish Politics (2019). He is a regular television and radio broadcaster and a weekly columnist with the Irish Times.
