Chris Johns is the former Chief Economist of the Bank of Ireland and has previously worked in the UK Treasury and the National Institute of Economic & Social Research in London. He writes a column every Monday in the Irish Times.

Dan O'Brien is Chief Economist at the Institute of International and European Affairs in Dublin, columnist with the Irish Independent and Sunday Independent and adjunct senior research fellow at University College Dublin.

He was previously economics editor at the Irish Times, senior editor at the Economist Intelligence Unit in London and Geneva. He has worked for the European Commission and the United Nations.
